2011 Annual Dinner and Presentation Evening

Photographs by Tony Bray
With added comments from Alistair Downey

No, not back stage at Strictly, just the bar at Frocester’s 51st annual dinner.

It’s not the menu from the Chinese for once, Al Downey reviews the season. Badly.

The ‘young table’ look thrilled at proceedings – Chris Whincup, Clare Woodmason and Tom Pinker

Fancy seeing you here? Steve Tegg goes speed dating with Nicki Pinker as he hands out the
youth team coaching awards.

Teggy can’t get enough of it. This time Ali Tuck is on the receiving end. Just look at the reaction of
the speaker – he’s heard those lines before!

Del Purchase joins Teggy for a bit of man love. And likes it.

Poulters is having a great time......

Jim Clarkson drops his teeth and the whole audience get down to look.

Guest speaker, the former chairman of Gloucestershire, John Light, presents Frocester chairman
Phil Herbert with his award for long service. Nogger looks pleased too.

John presents Nog with his award for 55 years service as secretary. It was not an
all you could eat voucher for Nando’s.

Frocester’s clubman of the year, groundsman Nev Gardner, is presented with a massive piece of chocolate.

No, it’s not trick photography. Al Downey won the player of the year award. Honest.

If you look deeply into Ollie Jones’s shirt you can see the Empire State Building . John Light
could hardly look as he presented Ollie with the performance of the year award for his 5-9 v Bath .

Ben Hopkins was awarded the young player of the year award.

Tucky missed out on the speed dating but his services as a youth coach were recognised by John Light.

Joe Stevens collects his bat for his maiden century for Frocester.

Matt Morris (left) also collects a bat for his maiden ton and is joined by John Light and Joe Stevens.

Marjorie Hawkins is rewarded for all her hard work with a lovely bouquet of flowers – which
handily matched her dress.

They made teas, orgainsed teams, played, washed, ironed – the Glew family did a bit of
everything last season at FCC.

Poulters didn’t win anything but just had to get on stage and receive flowers. Ahhhh.

What all good bar manager’s need – more red wine to check.

Del Purchase also got a bottle for showing a lot of bottle in the season as team
secretary and answering his phone on a Friday night.

Nick Trainor collects his prize for his century against Bath ...... when he came back from the toilet.

The website moderator formerly known as Tony Bray, oh, hang on. This is just his bottle of rum.

No ladies, you do it like this: He might be top cyclist but Met still knows how to shake it.
