Sunday 31st August 2008

Quite remarkably the game against the Barbados High Commission both started and finished on Sunday afternoon.
A good game played in a great spirit was just reward for our visitors who had made the trip up from London.
BHC batted first and clearly had some very good cricketers amongst their ranks. They finished on just over 200 runs in 35 overs. In reply Frocester maintained their winning run against Bajan teams this year with a fine victory.
A few glasses of Rum later our visitors left vowing to return again next year, claiming this was one of the nicest places they had visited.
Many thanks must go to Nev Gardner for somehow managing to have the track ready to start play on time despite the weather.

Interesting snippet from Barbados

For those who remember playing at Dover Cricket Club at The Gap two years ago the opposition had a gentleman by the name of Floyd Reifer playing for them. After reading the above link the defeat does not seem too bad now. Deano can certainly feel a lot better about it for sure.
